Hansol has a background in power economics and optimization, with a focus on modelling and optimizing the electricity market. He has been involved in several pivotal projects within the electricity market in Korea including development of a model for the environmental dispatch mechanism aimed at aligning with the Nationally Determined Contributions in the power sector. He has collaborated with the Korea Power Exchange to assist in redesigning the Korean electricity market's pricing mechanism into a constraint-based system. He holds a BA, MSc and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Pusan National University. Hansol is fluent in Korean and English.
