David is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the School of Accounting and Finance at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he also serves as Deputy Director Economic Sustainability in the department’s Centre for Economic Sustainability and Entrepreneurial Finance, and an Advisor to the Accounting and Finance Tech-Lab. David’s specialises in applied econometrics of energy and the environment, with a particular emphasis on topics in consumer behaviour and energy finance. He is familiar with a wide variety of methods, though has a special interest in time-varying econometric models.
David is currently an Editor for The Energy Journal, one of the world’s leading outlets for research on the economics of energy. In this capacity David is focused on research and modern econometric techniques such as text mining and big-data related methodologies. David has published in high-ranked international journals spanning the fields of energy economics, transportation economics and financial economics including: The Energy Journal, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, The Journal of Cleaner Production, The International Journal of Sustainable Transportation, Transport Research Part A, the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money and The British Accounting Review.
