Alok Kumar is a Director in our Delhi office.  He has more than 35 years of experience in public policy and economic development in India’s premier federal civil service (IAS).  Prior to joining TLG, he was the Secretary to Government of India till June 2023 in the Ministry of Power and successfully managed the operations of one of the largest power systems of the world along with steering wide-ranging sectoral reforms. He has developed deep understanding of global energy transition aspects as chair of G20 Energy Transitions Working Group.  Alok has also been CEO of Power Corporation of UP for two and half years.  Alok holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engg from IIT Roorkee and MBA (Finance) from National Open University.  He is fluent in Hindi and English.
