Arif is a consultant based in our Malaysia office, with a career in the power industry that began in 2013 at Tenaga Nasional Berhad.  He has extensive experience in electricity market modelling, power generation planning, and the development of industry innovations and sustainable initiatives.  In 2018, he joined the MyPOWER team under the Ministry of Energy, where he contributed to reform programmes and built key industry relationships.  Recently, as Manager in the Technical Advisory and Industry Development Unit in the Single Buyer Department, Arif focused on analysing global industry trends and innovations, assessing the potential impacts of emerging technologies, and integrating these advancements into Malaysia’s electricity framework and policies.  Arif holds an MBA from the National University of Malaysia and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kitami Institute of Technology in Japan.  He is fluent in English, Malay, and Japanese.
